MAXO is an Australian artist based in Canberra. From a young age, the artist had a passion for losing himself in the magic of the guitar and songwriting and has since dedicated his life to music, becoming addicted to the adrenaline rush of performing. Finding himself playing in front of tens of thousands of people after winning his city’s talent competition, a portal of opportunity opened and from then onwards, he has not looked back. MAXO’s energising music feels timeless and colourful, with a burst of subtle country/folk production and flavour from his globe-trotting travels around the US.

Kim Yang.
Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Bon Iver, Taiwanese-Australian songstress Kim Yang writes music on love, death and mental health issues with evocative lyrics, driving melodies and soaring vocals. Her ethereal blend of sounds balances delicately between vulnerability and power. Since 2019 Kim has released 2 EPs and received various grants from ArtACT, including to produce her upcoming new project. Her music has been aired regularly on Double J radio and premiered on triple J. She is a regular at bigs gigs and festivals, including the National Folk Festival earlier this year with her band.
